Run Sequence

Runtime Groups, Runtime Properties

A runtime group is automatically created by a CFC chart. All blocks of the chart are installed in a respective runtime group. This reduces the time when compiling changes in CFC charts.

The run sequence can be optimized by PCS 7. With "Optimize Run Sequence" the execution sequence is optimized respecting the flow of data within the program.

The runtime properties of the blocks define with the block being included in the run sequence within the CPU structure. Runtime properties follow the default values of PCS 7, but can be individually customized for each block.

In the CFC - Runtime Editor you can configure the program execution mode. The Runtime Editor opens by right-clicking on a chart and selecting Charts > Run Sequence menu.
